What we did for 4 days in Bali

Day 1

On the first day of our trip, we arrived early and were fortunate enough to check-in to our hotel before the usual 2 pm. However, my boyfriend’s (at the time) shoes broke while we were on the train in Jakarta, so we had to buy new ones.

Luckily, he bought me a pair too! We decided to spend the rest of the day shopping at the nearby Beachwalk Shopping Center.

For our first dinner, we had a full meal at Warunk Cuci Mata.

We ordered:

Mie Ayam Jamur for IDR 45,000 – An Indonesian dish with egg noodles topped with diced chicken and mushrooms, served separately with hot chicken soup.

Nasi Bakar Ayam Betutu for IDR 60,000 – a rice meal with chicken, wrapped in banana leaf and grilled.

Day 2

A perfect way to spend your morning is to visit a coffee farm in Bali.

Here we get to try various tea flavours and coffee available in Jambe Asri.

Ubud, Bali is a charming town located in the heart of the island. It’s known for its lush rice paddies, vibrant culture, and stunning temples.

Next is we visited the Pura Dalem Ubud Temple, which is located in the heart of the town. The temple is known for its intricate carvings and stunning architecture.

It’s a great place to explore the local culture and learn about the history of Bali. Be sure to dress modestly and respectfully when visiting the temple. But don’t worry, you can rent a sarong at the temple for a minimum price.

Green ATV Bali

We had an awesome ATV ride in the outskirts of Bali. The tracks were super challenging and promised an ATV ride like no other, with river and jungle tracks and thrilling off-road terrain.

Driving the ATV through the river was so much fun! We skillfully maneuvered through the flowing waters, creating exhilarating splashes along the way.

Before embarking on the adventure, we recommend wearing clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty. The muddy track is certain to leave your attire wet and soiled. Opt for simple and comfortable clothing that facilitates ease of movement while riding the ATV. This way, you can fully enjoy the experience without any discomfort or hindrance.

After our one-hour ATV ride and all the mud we had on our bodies, we headed back to Green ATV and showered. They provided soap, shampoo, conditioner, and towels.

Price for 2 with set lunch IDR 1,200,000 / PHP 4,300

In the afternoon, after all our activities, we head to the Ubud shopping at the local shopping center.

There are many restaurants and food stalls along the beach area that offer a variety of dishes, such as nasi goreng, mie goreng, satay, and gado-gado. Be sure to try some of the fresh seafood, which is a specialty in Bali.

Day 4 – going back to Manila.

Our overall budget for 6 days in Indonesia with Airfare, train, Grab/Gojek, hotels, tours, food, and shopping were around 45,000 Pesos each. This varies on how much you were able to purchase your roundtrip ticket. Generally, traveling around Indonesia is cheap. For as little as 500 Pesos a day per person for meals is decent enough to budget on your Indonesia travel.

I hope this itinerary helps you plan your short and slow phase travel around Bali. Enjoy your travels!
