Bandung is a city that effortlessly blends the beauty of nature with its rich cultural tapestry.
Our recent trip to Bandung was an absolute delight, filled with breathtaking views, aromatic teas, mouthwatering Indonesian dishes, and the vibrant energy of the city’s nightlife.
After our whole day trip in Jakarta, we head straight to Bandung, and we took a train from Jakarta Main Station. Travel time via train is 2 hours and we paid roughly 1,200 Pesos per pax for our First-Class train ticket.
Itinerary
Day 1: We arrived in Bandung at around 7 in the evening and we head straight to our accommodation in Hotel Serela Merdeka.

Day 2: Exploring the White Crater Our adventure kicked off with a visit to the stunning Kawah Putih, also known as the White Crater.
Situated about 50 kilometers south of Bandung, this volcanic lake is a true wonder of nature.

The drive to Kawah Putih itself was a treat, winding through scenic landscapes and charming villages. Upon reaching the crater, we were immediately captivated by the surreal sight of a turquoise lake surrounded by volcanic rocks and lush greenery.
The unique color, thanks to sulfur, created a magical atmosphere. We took a leisurely stroll around the crater, soaking in the beauty and capturing the moment with our cameras.
After exploring Kawah Putih, we had lunch at Dusun Bambu Family Leisure Park.
Our next destination is Kawah Rengganis. While the region is renowned for its volcanic craters, Kawah Rengganis stands out not just for its stunning views, but also for the unique experiences it offers to adrenaline enthusiasts.

Nightlife in Bandung
Bars and More As the sun set, Bandung’s nightlife came alive. Evenings were spent exploring the city’s bars and lounges, each with its unique vibe and offerings.
Day 3: We started the day with a classic Indonesian breakfast at our hotel and we searched for local store to buy souvenirs and snacks at a nearby shopping mall.
The city’s charm lies in its ability to cater to diverse interests, making it an ideal destination for travelers seeking a well-rounded and enriching experience.
We had a wonderful experience in Bandung, and I can’t wait to be back which will be my 3rd visit.
